Sailors for the Sea - Clean Class

First and foremost, we are sailors. Not only do we love lakes, oceans, and beaches, but we need them in order to grow and enjoy our sport of sailing. Because of this necessary relationship to the water, we should do our part to care for these environments and help keep them clean and safe for generations to come. We believe everyone doing little things to make the world a better place adds up to big things, and by helping care for the waters we use, we feel like we are doing our part and helping make a difference. Sailors for the Sea has provided a framework and identified key things we can put into practice. We are proud to be leaders in the sailing community by operating as a Clean Class in partnership with Sailors for the Sea and making sustainability of lakes, oceans, and beaches a priority.

Operating as a Clean Class means we will designate a certain number of our regattas every year to focus on sustainability and follow many of the practices put forth by Sailors for the Sea. These regattas will be advertised as Clean Regattas, so sailors will know what to expect at these events.

We are proud to have this partnership with Sailors for the Sea, and look forward to continuing to make an positive impact on the environment.
